New wrist watch phone debuts in China

The CECT W100 Wrist Watch, designed by Qiao Xing Mobile Communication of China, is believed to be the first watch phone in that large Asian country. It comes in seven colors and sports a nice LCD touch screen with which to control its functions. Though no specifics were given by its designers about its phone network capabilities it was said the phone will come with 1GB of built-in memory and supports Bluetooth.
Other features on this wrist phone include audio/video file viewing, FM radio and a 1.3-megapixel digital camera. No pricing or availability information was specifically announced for the United States, though it was mentioned it will be available in stores in mid-September. Perhaps an importer will pick it up if it’s not released here directly? One can only hope…
